Get to know me
I'm always working on something. Most of the time, it's getting results for my clients. But sometimes, it's a personal project that lets me explore new concepts and ideas.
Accessible by Design, Infograph
The Accessible by Design infograph project demonstrates key design components which increase learner comprehension and processing. This piece is research based. The elements in this piece were measured against the WCAG accessibility standards.
The thought process for this piece marries accessibility concerns into design features. This is why I love this piece.
Designing so everyone can utilize.
Online Training
Students can be messy. This training module, Create A Clean Workpace, takes students on a learning path that builds on executive function skills. First, learners recognize the value of a Growth Mindset through a video portion. Storytelling elements are then used to demonstrate the challenges of having a messy desk. This product has been used by parents, counselors, and classroom teachers supporting students in developing organizational skills. Many features in this product are researched based.

Design Doc
Here's all the fancy details about the design features for the digital product. This doc provides one reference source making it simplier for me to design. It also comes in handy when multiple, remote players are involved in a project. The document includes a color palette, topography, spacing specs, image page examples, flow chart, and storyboard examples.
This doc is the 'source of truth' for the project.
Feedback
Many eyes on early versions really aids in quality iterations. This form provides a space for feedback and thoughts during the iterative cycles. Involving SMEs in the evaluation process improves the quality of the content.
Learning Product
Starting a garden always sounds like a good idea, but where do you begin? This online training, Plant Your Garden, was developed based on my curriculum plans and flowchart of a basic gardening tutorial. The targeted audience for this module is people who want to know where to begin. I managed this project with other teammates utilizing Slack to organize our Zoom meetings and shared documents. I created this tutorial using Adobe Captivate. I learned through feedback that the original flow chart required some adjustments. The newer version impoved the learner experience.
Slack was used to aid with project management and collect written feedback during the iterative process.

Flowchart
The goals and objectives for this training product set the foundation. Then I created the flow chart to map out the module.
Development Methods
This piece compares two development methods used in product development, ADDIE and SAM. One is not better than the other- just a different perspective. A different timeline.
Ultimately, the best development plan is the one that works with the culture of the organization. As a freelance designer, the method used to create an effective product is dependent on the process that fits best with your company or group.
I'm also a Certified Life Coach
Every business has a tale to tell. And my story so far has been anything but ordinary! I feel really lucky I get to create engaging learning products for people and organizations utilizing my life experiences in understanding how people think.
But I find what most businesses need next is a motivator. Some organizations are looking for a trainer while others need coaching on how to lead, manage, and run an effective program.
Blending these two skill sets is what makes my work most rewarding.
